R.S. Williams and Associates, Inc. was established in 1984 by the late Roger S. Williams in St. Petersburg, Florida. After his retirement from The Equitable, induction into The Equitable Hall of Fame and subsequent move to Florida, Mr. Williams found retirement a little too quiet and established R.S. Williams and Associates, Inc. In 1994, Mr. Williams invited Scott Lake to join the firm as Vice President and to take over the operation of the firm upon Mr. Williams' (second) retirement.

With roots in life insurance, estate planning and employee benefits, in 2000 the firm started to make the transition to a financial planning and investment focus under Mr. Lake's direction. Today, the firm provides financial planning and investment advice to hundreds of individuals, families and businesses around the country.
